Golden Year Volunteer

Summary

With the many attendees of IBC ages 65 and older, we are looking to serve seniors by providing them with a spiritual community that will support and enhance their lives. This ministry encourages Christian fellowship and provides a service to meet the changing needs of senior adults in our community.

RESPONSIBILITIES & REquirements

Responsibilities:

• Work with a representative on the Senior Leadership team in finding ways to help minister to the needs of our senior congregation.

• Maintain contact and communicate with Seniors at IBC via telephone or gatherings outside of Sundays.

• Help to organize events that allow our Senior congregation to attend either at IBC or various areas around San Jose.

• Set a Christ like example for others to follow.

Requirements:

• Must be a church member and in alignment with IBC beliefs and values. To be a member of IBC you can attend our regularly offered Discovery Classes.

• Must have the gift of mercy and service (Please see a spiritual gift test by clicking here or here.)

• Must be punctual and reliable.

• Commitment to at least to 1 year of service.

• Basic computer skills.
